A couple weeks ago the Sacred Heart Men's Ice Hockey team made it to the AHA Championship. We went in 2nd place behind RIT. Our first game was played Friday March 19, 2010 against the U.S. Air Force (3rd place) and to our excitement WE WON!! This was my 2nd or 3rd time in 4 years I have traveled with the pep band to support the team and never have we won the first game... We were thrilled. We also had to prepare...The next day, my room and some other kids in the band decided to walk the mile to Party City and Michael's down the street to get posters, cow bells, a tiger tail for Big Red and some face paint. Amidst the honking and vulgarity we made way. That night was the big championship game!! We got to the rink with our posters and got going with our face painting. Despite the fact Big Red did get the Tiger Tail stolen (which was hanging out of his mouth because that is Big Red's Mascot) security found the boys, kicked them out and Big Red got his tail back. Unfortunately our team lost that night, but we were still proud that they made it this far!! It was a great trip...It is the last year I will ever be able to participate since I am graduating :( Our annual Band Banquet is on Friday and we get senior superlatives which is kinda corny but I am really eager to find out what they decided for me. Until next time :) Some pictures are posted below:

All my friends that are older than me, reminded me of the easiness that comes with your last year in college...maybe they were just taking electives, or easier classes..I am quite overwhelmed with my senior year, there is ALOT to do between handing in assignments on time, studying for and taking tests, applying for Grad Schools! Its alot of work, but the way I look at it I have made it this far so there is nothing that can stop me from walking across that stage May 16, 2010!!
On top of everything I just got the Flu but staying optomistic the Maroon 5 concert is thursday which I have to look forward to, an it is Senior Day on Saturday at the football game that will probably make myself and others pretty emotional, but it will remind us of how hard we worked, but until next time I'll be nursing myself back to health and staying on top of my school work!

I meant to write this blog like last week after the great performance by The Fray, but I got a little behind. My sorority had rush events this whole weekend that put me a little behind, hence why I am writing my blog a week after the concert :\ but the concert was awesome granted I only new the four songs that are on the radio and we had a good turnout with recruiting girls for my organization :) I attached a couple photos below from the performance. I can't wait till Maroon 5 comes next month too! I bought a ticket for my younger brother because he is turning 16 on Nov. 1 :*( But..shhhh it's a suprise!
But for now it's getting late and I'll be writing soon...

As my final year at SHU quickly approaches I often wonder where the time went. This whole summer I have been working for Yale University Medical School doing Type 1 Diabetes Research with a team of very intelligent people. It has been fun and I have learned so much from it. Its hard to imagine that in 3 short weeks I will be back to school, and a senior! I've been looking into PA schools and Med schools and learned that it is a very long process to apply, a little frustrating at times. But I want it so I'm gonna go after it. Well until next time, I'll be doing my research buying school supplies and probably getting around to buying new tires for my car!
