For so long you could be planning on getting that perfect job, or that perfect position at your school, but you just didn’t get that position you longed for so badly...this is where having a backup plan becomes essential! If you really don't have something planned just in case thing do not work out as you hoped, the possibilities are: you’ll simply go nuts, get depressed or blame everyone for not getting that position.
This does not mean you will not give your all to try and get those positions but just be prepared for the possibilities. Some steps to help you to get through this minor setback:
* Continue planning for the future
* Plan to do things you enjoy doing
* Get an internship- this will both boost your work experience qualifications and get you to know people in your field.
When plan B decides to fail make sure there is a plan C to catch you up! Recently I applied for a position that I know I would be good at and enjoy while making a difference, it just didn’t happen this time around but my backup plan sure did work out and I’m back on track again.
Go ahead prove to yourself ANYTHING is possible as long as you have the dedication and put the work in.
