It has been a little while since my last post. Been quite busy over here in Europe. So many things to do and so little time. Our second block of three has started and is well underway. I am taking a German Business course as well as starting my Internship.
I am working for a start-up company in Berlin called Book A Street Artist. www.bookastreetartist.com It is a very small start-up consisting of my two bosses who are dating as well as myself and three other interns. I am working their business analysis as well as aiding the marketing interns as sort of a manager of their ideas. It is a nice atmosphere and we all work closely together at the same table so our ideas are free flowing and we have a fun time. The company's mission is to provide local street artists from all over Europe a central, almost agency like, feeling that finds gigs and events for them. The difference between us and an agency is we are focused on becoming more of a community and don't take the money for ourselves and give most to the artists. So far it has been a great experience.
Since last writing I have traveled to Amsterdam and Brussels and explored all both cities have to offer. Went to the World Auto Museum and some other landmarks. In a few weeks our university will be taking us on a trip to Warsaw. Looking forward to that trip. At the end of March, for Easter some friends and I are heading back to Amsterdam as well as Paris. But the big trip is coming the first week of April where I will be backpacking and camping with a few friends. We are still deciding where to go but perhaps, The Black Forest in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, or Spain and Portugal. Real excited for this trip as it has been a dream of mine to actually backpack, hike and camp as a vacation and it is finally going to happen!
That's pretty much all I have to update on. However I would like to wish my team back home the best of luck. They began our very cold spring season just last week. Sacred Heart's Sailing team has not been big on SHU's radar but these past few years and the upcoming ones show great potential. We have a big race schedule this short Spring Season, racing at top places like Boston University, Dartmouth, and University of Rhode Island but also hosting 3 of our own regattas. We are hosting on March 19-20, April 9-10, and April 23, down at Captain's Cove in Bridgeport, 1 Bostwick Avenue, if you'd like to come down and show your support! I am a little upset I am not home to be sailing right now with my team and traveling but I am confident that they will do great and have a lot of fun (as always!) without me to add to the fun!
Good luck guys!! May the water and air be warm and wind always in your sails!! (Not missing the cold weather!)
