i'd like to make myself believe that planet earth turns slowly.

It is currently- 12am and chilly

I am currently- in my room

Life is currently- full of twists and turns

    So, walking down from my dorm, I looked up above me and there were these clouds in the sky that reminded me of fairy tale books from when I was little. They were so defined in all their charcoal glory standing out against the pale gray sky. At that moment, it felt like my life could all of a sudden turn into a drawn masterpiece, frozen in time. Words would start forming in the picture and my life, a fairy tale.

    In any fairy tale , there's the princess who is, typically, the person who is tried. Then there's the villain. Whomever the villain may be in the princesses situation, the most satisfying fairy tales end with the princess sticking to her guns, doing everything she feels is right and no matter how many times she slips up, finds her way back. The villain's faults and actions stand in the way of an easy escape for the princess, but the strength gained, is, in the end, worth it. 

    In real life, everyone is their own prince or princess but i guess what the point is, sometimes life can be so simply identified if we just look back to our childhood. We have all the answers within us, its just our own choice to recognize it. Not everyone is a villain, but you have to be the prince or princess in your own life. You have to always do what you know is the right thing to do, regardless of how many villains stand in your way. At the end of the day, the only person you have to answer to is yourself.

    If we all took a second to stop and just breathe, we'd realize how the stories we always wanted to come true, do. You can't reach the end without the trials and tribulations. What would be the point? Because without them, you can never become the person who is ready to end the story and it would continue on eternally. So learn from what's happened, is happening and will happen, put one foot in front of the other and keep walking.
