It's been about a week since my last post and this is for one reason, and one reason only;wifi. It is non-existant in my apartment. Due to this me and my five roomates are unable to go on the internet, or use our phones in our apartment. Although this gives us a more authentic experience, we love our internet. Resteraunt's are the only place we can pick up free wifi, so every time we go out to eat we immediately take out our phones. It's pretty pathetic. This is me and one of my roomates Dana on a lunch date.
Besides our little wifi dilemma everything has been great! I absolutely adore Rome. I haven't traveled much but it's the most beautiful city I have ever seen. Pictures do not do it justice. When I arrived at the airport I checked in with my R.A. and the shuttle took me to my new apartment. It was dark and I had no idea what I was walking into or what my new roomates would be like. I walked two flights up the marble winding staircase and felt like I was dreaming. My apartment consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and kitchen...and its perfect. The picture below is the entrance to my apartment.
I have five roomates and we all compliment each other pretty well. The first night we all went out to dinner and then went exploring. We walked the streets for a few hours and then went to bed because John Cabot (our school) planned events for us the next day. One of these was the bus tour. The tour was really helpful and it pointed out all of the famous monuments of Rome. I'm going to loose wifi soon so tomorrow will bring more pictures and stories!
Your apartment would be even more perfect if the owner would set up a WiFi hotspot for you guys, hahaha. How much did you and your roommates pay for your apartment?
