Well Second semester has officially started and its the last run of being young for all of us seniors. This is the time that all of the everyday activities we take part are referred to with the phrase "The last time I'll ever" placed infront of them. While sad and depressing, it's also the chance to start to pave the way for our new path that we'll embark on after May 15th.
For some of us Grad School has become an appealing option in order to further our education while the wait for the job market turn around continues. For others we face the uneviable task of jumping in to the job hunt pool and securing ourselves a paying job. The fear associated with this could rival evne the scarriest horror movies. Luckily though here at Sacred Heart University, we have an amazing Career Development Center with awesome counselors who are willing to help lay the ground work so the path to this career is a little bit easier to travel upon.
As for me I currently fall into the second of the two options above. Come May 16th I'll be an unemployed college kid looking for a job. I've majored in Sports Management and minored in Economics but I'm not sure what I want to do with that degree. I believe my strengths fall in my interaction with individuals as well as my writing skills. Hopefully I'll be able to find something that can combine these skills and parlay them into not only money but a job that is meaningful and exciting. Check back to see how my meeting with Career Development goes. Until next time remember.
