Hello again friends! So we have officially completed our first week here in Dingle, Ireland and it has been nothing short of amazing. As Eric previously mentioned, we went to Eask Tower on our first full day which consisted of a short half hour walk to the top of a hill with not one but two of the most breathtaking views I have ever seen.
This was the side of the hill that viewed Dingle.
This was the side that viewed the ocean and it was absolutely breathtaking.
This trip has been nothing short of amazing thus far. There are 25 of us here and we have all become fast friends. From game nights to a potluck, we have all clicked really well. Over this past weekend we explored some local pubs called Dick Mack's and Small Bridge which are not like the ones at home in that they don't serve food and are just bars. The spots that do have food are great, but we learned the hard way that most places are not open during the week and if they are then they are not open if you want dinner past 8pm (Chinese is open till at least 9 though). My favorite local spot we have been to is called BlueZone. It serves pizza and salad, with a relaxed atmosphere and late hours which is right up my alley. Lastly, my favorite part so far has been the small beauties of this place. From the sheep in not only the front, but also the backyard, to the quirky colors of buildings, spontaneous rainbows, and beautiful starry nights have made the 6 hour flight and years of waiting for this trip all worth it. Here is to many more small moments.
One of those spontaneous rainbows that just so happened to touch down right outside my bedroom window.
