Hello again! We are now approaching our 4th week in Dingle and as you may guess this place is still amazing. Last weekend, we travelled to Galway. On our way we stopped at the Cliffs of Moher and The Burren. Last time I came to Ireland I was not able to see the cliffs as it was too hazy. This time I saw them in full force and f or just 2 euro I was also able to climb to the top of O'Brien's castle which made for an amplified view from a little bit higher up. We had a quick lunch and then proceeded to The Burren. Some even said that, though unimaginable after leaving the Cliffs of Moher, the view here may have even been better.
Another lovely shot of another friend, but this time at The Burren!
When we arrived in Galway, we settled into our rooms and then had an amazing dinner at the Nox Hotel (I recommend the salmon). After we were free to go and explore Galway when we stumbled on a pub called the Spanish Arch. Here we were able to enjoy good company and some awesome music. The following day we went out to explore Galway in the daytime. I personally bought a Claddagh ring as Galway is the birthplace of the Irish tradition. Some of my friends and I also stumbled on a small open market and met a nice man named Peter. Peter made beautiful rings, and was so sweet so I could not resist the purchase of one of his pieces. Some of us also went to the local (and free!) museum. It was full of the history of Galway and was definitely a hidden gem of the trip. That evening we went to another hotel for a delicious dinner, went back to the Spanish Arch and proceeded home the next morning. Galway stole many of our hearts and would love to some day go back.
This week has been all about our first nursing exams, so more adventure stories will come as soon as these exams come to a close.
