Sacred Heart’s Jail N’ Bail fundraiser yesterday raised $5,300 for Special Olympics of Connecticut and also provided a fun time for all involved. John Kichinko, assistant supervisor in Public Safety and organizer of the event, is grateful to all who good-naturedly participated in the event—whether
they filled out a warrant or went to jail. He was especially impressed with the Residential Life team who quickly raised $800 of their $1,000 bail.
Kichinko also expressed thanks to the Bridgeport, Fairfield and Trumbull Police Departments, the Trumbull Police Cadets and the Public Safety Departments at Fairfield University and Southern Connecticut State University for their assistance with the fundraiser.
He will begin planning next year’s event as early as next week in hopes of making it more successful than ever. Anyone interested in serving on his planning committee should get in touch with him.
