For nearly three years, I've blogged often about how all of us at Sacred Heart University (and higher education in general) must always be looking ahead to the coming months, seasons and years. And while most of us are still waiting for warm and sunny spring temperatures to arrive, just last Friday registration opened for the Fall 2011 semester.
It's early April, and right now it's difficult to think about the fall, but seasons do change, and it's important to plan ahead. For those hard-working adults who are thinking about going back to school part-time to pursue a Bachelor's degree, now is the time make arrangements. With three summer sessions offered, and the aforementioned green light on the Fall 2011 semester registrations, why not use April to map-out a plan of study that could take you through the end of 2011?
Life on campus here at Sacred Heart University is exciting and vibrant, and there is much to look forward to. Of particular interest is the construction on the Student Commons Building, a 46,000 square foot structure scheduled to be completed later this year. Pictured above (I snapped this picture just minutes ago...I apologize for the gloomy weather, but it is April in Connecticut), this building will be a wonderful addition to this ever-changing campus.
Of course, the Fall 2010 semester and the completion of the awe-inspiring Student Commons Building is still months away, and we all want to enjoy a sunny, pleasant and relaxing summer. Still, it's nice to know that there are many wonderful things to look forward to all throughout 2011.
