Business Applications

This is the e-mail that was sent to everyone I suggest applying. I think it;ll be a good chance to help incoming freshamn. 

Second, the John F. Welch College of Business is excited to announce the search for the following PAID Student Leadership Positions for the 2011-2012 Academic Year. Applications and full position descriptions will be available in the Business Office in Roncalli Hall for the following positions:

a.     Junior Mentor – Students must be current Sophomores. Junior Mentors will be assigned a small group of approximately 10 incoming Freshmen Business Students, whom you will Mentor throughout their first year. Duties include taking them to business classes, attending Welch Experience Events with them, Accompanying them to Career Development Workshops, and aiding with the Freshman transition.

b.    Pre-Fall Program Student Leader – The Welch College of Business will be running a pre-fall program for incoming Business Students, and we need good leaders! Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors may all apply. Must be available the week before classes begin.

c.     Research Assistants – College of Business Faculty need students to help them with summer research. You do not need to be present over the summer for most of these positions (work can be done from home), but you will need to meet with your faculty member before the end of the semester if you are chosen.

d.    Graduate Assistant – It’s true, Amy is completing her MBA and that means I’ll need a new G.A.! Any current Senior who is looking to apply to the MBA Program, please pick up a job description and schedule an appointment with me!

I am a marketing major with a minor in psychology and a concentration in fashion marketing. But there are many things the Welch College of Business offers students that students aren’t very aware of. Here I will give you updates on what is offered and what people should be doing throughout there years here at Sacred Heart University so that you can get the most out of it.

The Welch List is just one of the many opportunities The Welch College of Business offers that may people don’t know about since it is so new. This is a a list of what you need to do to get on the Welch List. The Welch List is an honor and you get a tassel at graduation for participating in it. What you first need to do is go into Sacred Heart Universities website and in the search box type in Welch list it will give you a PDF file that tell you what is needed to be done.  I will give you updates on deadlines and when these events are going to be held so please look here for more posts to come.
