Students who study English abroad, enjoy various visits to their native country. But what can that time away, do to their English Acquisition?
The obvious benefits are seeing the family again and spending time with friends in the home environment. It is important to relax in the native language after so many months of living in the second language.
If possible, it is always recommended if students can maintain touch points with English as their second language. It may be possible for students to read an English book during their time abroad or even listen to radio or TV from an English source.
As a student returns in Fall after spending some time away, it will only benefit them to practice a little bit if possible, while enjoying the family!
